She came to see Infitiny. The Gang(-a) (Ganges) - original 16x20 acrylic painting, woman painting

I was inspired to create this painting by an Instagram Indian friend of mine @inspired_homosapiens. I didn't want to paint something obvious and cliche, like Taj Mahal, so I ploughed into the Indian world and got to know it's an endless universe of rich traditions, deeeeepest culture and invaluable impact on us all on the planet.

Here is a girl who came to see one of the most sacred cities in India Varanasi located on the banks of the Ganges river. Varanasi and the Ganges (Indians pronounce it as "gangah") play unprecedented role in Hinduism, Jainism and Buddhism. The Ganges river is the holy river for these people, who must pilgrimage to see it at least once in their lives. A lot of Indians come to Varanasi to go to a better world (pass away).

On top of the morning Sun I put a symbol of Om or Aum, a sacred sound for many people in the world. I wanted it to look like a vague hint of a cloud.
